MEA Piano Studio offers private, one-on-one lessons to
students
wishing to have a more individualized
approach to learning and individual attention.
Students progress faster with private
lessons but the expectations are also higher.
My goal with every student is to give them the
ability to read and understand and appreciate all music. Private lessons are best for students in any level of
study, providing they can make the proper time commitment to practicing.
FACT: All private students have a chance to make
their own c.d.'s. A recording session is scheduled for all students near
the end of the year.
FACT: All private students must be able to commit to regular
practice. In order to succeed, students must practice. Guidelines have
been posted with each program, though parents should keep in mind that these
are only guidelines. Beginning students will practice less than advanced
students as will younger students, but all students should make an effort to
practice daily.
FACT: Tuition for the Complete Musician and Honors Program
includes the cost of required festivals and all music. There are no
extra fees, parents do not have to purchase music, fill out applications for
festivals, ect.
Primer Level
All beginning students start in this level. The Primer
Level consists of eight units that must be completed. Upon completion, the
student will be recommended to the Just For Fun program or the Complete
Musician program.
Lessons are as follows
 |
One 30 minute lesson each week
|
 |
One 60 minute class every month
|
Just For Fun - Thirty Minute Lessons
Designed for students that want to play for fun, but
don't necessarily want to perform. Fun and socializing with
other pianists is the focus of this program. Students use a piano method that provides a logical and step-by-step process to
learning the piano. Materials are presented gradually and gives the student
enough time to understand a concept before moving on.
FACT: No long-term commitment.
