MEA Piano Studio offers semi-private classes to
students that want instruction without the demands of private lessons and
with more attention from the instructor that would not be possible with
group lessons. Semi-private lessons also offer a
chance to make playing the piano more social and less lonely.
FACT: Semi-Private lessons are just as good as
private lessons. Most students take piano for fun, with out any
desire to become a professional pianist. Semi-Private lessons are geared
towards this sort of student. In every curriculum, whether private, group,
or semi-private students learn the same foundations in order to play well.
So if a student decides to become more serious, then they can easily
transfer to a different program.
FACT: Semi-Private have a maximum of three students
per class, not a minimum. Students don't have to wait for a minimum
number of students before starting a class.
Classes are sixty minutes every week. Students must be
eight years or older and be able to work independently without disrupting
the other students.
