THE TEEN STUDENT

Studio Curriculum:
The studio offers a challenging yet rewarding program for beginning teens. Lessons focus on:

• Developing adequate reading and sight-reading skills.

• Technique, such as scales and etudes.

• Learning about and performing Bach Inventions.

• Learning about and performing Jazz and Blues pieces.

• Playing in ensembles with other musicians.

• Participation in the Spring Festival.

• A yearly "Challenge Piece". Students choose from the following:

• "River Flows in You" by Yiruma

• "Through the Kaleidoscope" by Stephen Cravis

• "The Dark Horse" by David Lanz

• "All of Me" by Jon Schmidt

Lesson Length:

• Lessons are sixty minutes

Studio Environment:

• All lessons have a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

• Alexandria, Virginia - just minutes from the Springfield Mall.

Discounts:

• Lessons before 3:00 receive a 20% discount, Monday through Thursday.
