What Is KidzRock?
Kidzrock is rock band program for kids. This unique program teaches children as young as 4 to play an instrument in the setting of a real rock band!
All of the band members rotate through each instrument, learning and playing drums, electric guitar, and keyboard as they prepare to play a “rock concert”.
In addition to playing an instrument, each band sings and performs songs designed especially for this awesome program.
In short, Kidzrock brings fun and stress-free music lessons to a younger age group. This is THE perfect choice for introducing your child music lessons and making sure they have a ton of fun in the process..
What will my kid learn?
Besides being able to be “Rock Stars”, your child will learn a lot.
These skills learned include:
- The basics of playing guitar, drums, and keyboards
- How to read and play notes on the treble and percussion clef
- Improvisation
- Singing on pitch
- Musical dynamics
- Music terminology
- How to play in a rock band.
How do the kids read the music?
Kids in the band learn how to read color-coded standard music notation.
Do the kids play full size instruments?
No. Children in the band play on modified instruments that are better for smaller sized hands. All instruments are “real”. The guitars, drums, and keyboards are just smaller so band members can use the much more easily.
All instruments are provided by Kidzrock and there are no practice expectations outside of the class.
Can my kid also do private lessons?
Yes! Private lessons are not included in the Kidzrock program, but students are encouraged to take private lessons along with the band classes.
How much is it?
Packages start at $135.00 per month
